Elephant is part of my series, vanishing, depicting endangered species. With every piece in the series, I wanted to depict the powerful beauty of each animal, while also emphasizing their precarious and possibly fleeting existence.  I used black ink with metallic gold ink highlights to paint this piece on 140 lb cold pressed paper.
